  4. Great captures of a super duck, Bob! That last image is my favourite, showing the fringing of the bill. However, the head-on shots showing the width of the bill come a close second. With my very best wishes - - - Richard

  7. Northern Shoveler is quite rare in Finland. Haven't seen any in Hämeenlinna, but a few in Espoo.

  15. I won't write a poem, but I will say that duck appears to have more "teeth" than the average duck. I love the two shots toward the end in which he's facing the camera and daring you to talk about his big bill.

  19. I have seen the shoveler at a distance and was able to zoom in to get a poor shot. These are awesome pics. I got to see a lot of detail my pictures didn’t provide.
