Grey Wagtail (The Marshes, Lydney)

The Grey Wagtail looks so serene in the afternoon. And, so do I, a full days sunshine........yippee.

Fieldfare (The Marshes, Lydney)

The Fieldfare is a beautiful bird, unfortunatey it doesn't stay very long. But, while they are eating their meal, we will have some quick snaps.

Garganey (Slimbridge WWT)

I went to find out about a car, one that doesn't take up everyones place, but with enough space to store all my bird stuff. It's green - like a hide on wheels. It is cheap, because it doesn't use much petrol. That is the right move, yes, I'll have that one.......................

Old times for the pictures

Waxwing. I was asked for by our friendly Chris http://chris-photonature.blogspot.com/ This one was taken on 12th December, 2008
The Cormorant taken in the summer
and the Black-tailed Skimmer.
It wasn't because it was raining, thought it was a little, but I was kept in by the kindly plastering man, who left me with number of my kitchen units, and went to someone just next door. I am still without the units. And, I was without my daily birding.

New practice for me!

Well, it was a case of "what to do I on bad day", so I have been working on my pictures. The Waxwing was a black and white (sort of) version, and the Meadow Pipit was sepia sort. I thought that it would be a kind thing to do.

Blackbird at home

I stayed at home until 2.00pm, when I went to the Ford dealer, just because they are a motability car garage. I was looking at the best in automatic, and the easiest to fit a steering ball. The price is a problem, so I went to the cheapest. Well, it's like "if the cap fits".

Common Crossbill (Boysgrave, FoD)

It was (can he mention it) raining, so today was a different day. I found my Crossbill collection, and I started to crop them. It didn't seem to mind my fiddling about with it. I guess I'll find out!

Dunnock

What do you do on a day like this one. Sit down and think, tidy up everything, (boring), but we kept all our electriciy! I suppose it is the yearning to go out and photos, maybe tomorrow...............

A past again

Greylag Goose
A Coots chick
Canada Goose
Berwick's Swan
and a Baikal Teal
It's raining and there is a little bit of wind, 33-67kmh.
That's it, I think that you can understand why I am inside, and taking them (the photographs) and take a breather. These are 5 that got away!

Saker Falcon

Bad day! This morning was rather nice to start with, and when it looked good, it started with a
torrential rain and stayed that way. Who cares!!!

Black-headed Gull (Lydney boating lake)

That is a wonderful being. The Black-headed Gull is a pain the neck, they're always after your offering of bread. But, it's always there. I am truly pleased to see him/her.
